What does canceling a phone line do? ›

All cancellations are future dated and will go into effect at the end of your current bill cycle. Service impacts once a number is cancelled: Voicemail and DIGITS call histories and messages will be deleted and cannot be recovered.

The remaining unpaid installment balance is due immediately when you cancel the line linked to the plan. The balance will appear on your final bill. This includes accessory installment agreements.
